About us

Rich's Point Knives was founded in 2017 on the shores of Lake Wabamun. Looking for a novel project, my boys and some of their friends decided to build a forge, collected some old railroad spikes to pound on, and ventured into the realm of forging. I was instantly hooked and have now moved to the stock removal process working almost exclusively with 154CPM stainless steel. This steel has superior edge retention qualities and can be polished to a near mirror finish if desired. It is quite a bit more expensive than more traditional steels such as 1084, 80crV2, 01 tool steel or other similar blade steels, but in my opinion I find that 154CPM to be a top performer, such that I'm proud to offer a 25-year limited warranty. Should one of my knives fail under regular use, I will either replace or repair it at no cost.
